Common questions
-
Do you advise foreign companies without prior presence in Chile?
Yes. A significant part of our practice consists precisely of advising foreign investors and groups on their entry to the Chilean market: incorporation, tax structuring, sector-specific regulation and compliance.
-
Do you work in English?
Yes. The firm's practice is bilingual Spanish / English across all areas. Documentation, advisory and representation can be delivered in either language.
-
How are your fees structured?
Fees are agreed on a case-by-case basis: fixed fees for defined matters, capped hourly fees for open-ended matters, or mixed arrangements. We do not work on contingency in our corporate practice.
-
Can you coordinate with advisors in other jurisdictions?
Yes. We coordinate with advisors in the United States, Spain and other OECD jurisdictions on cross-border matters, ensuring consistency between Chilean and international treatment.
-
Do you handle tax litigation?
Yes. We represent clients before the Chilean IRS in administrative proceedings, before the Tax and Customs Tribunals in tax claims, and in subsequent appeals before the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court when applicable.
